Oscar’s family came to Labrador Life Line for funding assistance after the vet diagnosed the two-year-old with medial luxation of both rear leg patellas (kneecaps) requiring surgery. Diagnosed in Labs three times more than in other dog breeds, this developmental abnormality causes great and chronic pain for the dog. Additionally, even with surgery, the disease can be hard to correct.
Every Lab deserves a second chance. While it is too early to know if the surgery will help Oscar or not, at the very least, he got another chance. A chance that Labrador Life Line can provide because of the continued support of our generous donors.
