Instead of running after balls, Marley was running out of time.
Marley had a large inguinal mass which was growing rapidly and required surgical removal. Because of its size and continued growth, the vet felt the mass was pushing around Marley's internal organs, most likely his bladder, which made it difficult for Marley to urinate. The growth also affected Marley's gait.
The vet said Marley needed surgery as soon as possible or else it would be too difficult to remove the mass. He also felt that the mass was benign, but couldn't be sure, so a biopsy would be required.
Marley’s mom came to Labrador Life Line for assistance.

Marley's prognosis was good.
