Shoot with the intent to kill.

No, this is not the name of a new movie opening in theaters this week. Nor is it the name of the latest video game. This is Lazy's story.

The thirteen-month old yellow lab cutie was intentionally shot with intent to kill. Fortunately he was shot while running and the bullet hit him in the right front paw. The .22 caliber gun still caused the pup some serious injuries. The gunshot wound fractured both the radius and ulna. When his loving family came to Labrador Life Line for help, the wound was infected and getting worse. Additionally, the vet needed to perform surgery to fix the broken bones.

Thanks to our donors, Labrador Life Line was able to help fund Lazy's surgery. With a few weeks recovery time, prognosis was good for the young pup.

Shortly after helping Lazy, Labrador Life Line received this message.

I want to thank you for your help with Lazy...At the beginning I thought I had no other option but to put him down, because of the surgery and the cost. But I am a dog lover and always have been, I would of not been able to do that....I have never been blessed in my life as you have blessed me with this help. I don't know where our minds would be if he hadn't had his surgery. Even when he was in pain and hurt and limping all over, Lazy was still his cheerful self. He never whimpered or cried. He would just come up to me and give me his foot, like he was giving it to me to fix it. (Like you can teach a dog to shake.)

Hopefully after a few paychecks I will be able to donate back to your Labrador Life Line charity so another family can have the same blessing as us. You are truly, as your name says, a life line. I have told my family and many, many friends...that they can buy some of the calendars from your website. Hoping to help in anyway possible.

Thank You and God Bless to All,
Jennifer, Kelsey, Justin and Jacob Thornton
