In the past three years, playful six-year-old black beauty Kiara has undergone orthopedic surgery, lost her older sister to cancer, and recently, a mast cell tumor was discovered on her right hind leg which was surgically removed.
Since they were unable to get wide enough margins, the most effective treatment for this type of mass is radiation. Kiara's vet said she was in good health and her prognosis was excellent and with treatment, Kiara would have the opportunity to live for many more years.
When Kiara's treatments began, her Mom was struggling financially. Her mom loved her more than anything. After losing Kiara's sister recently, Mom was even more determined and willing to do whatever she could to make sure Kiara was feeling better again.
