With funding assistance from Labrador Life Line, and with the love of some good Samaritans, Dodge is recovering from injuries he sustained when hit by a car. The family came to Dodge’s aid and rescue after coming upon him on the side of the road.

However, since it was in such a remote area, a state trooper called to the scene felt the owner would not be found, and was prepared to shoot him when the family agreed to take him to a vet. Despite being homeless and with no one to pays his medical bills, the vet agreed to take care of Dodge.

Dodge suffered from a compound fracture to his radius and ulna that required surgery to put in a bone plate and screws on his radius. Surgery could not wait due to the severity of the break. Dodge also fractured his pelvis.

Because of our generous donors, Dodge will recover from his injuries and get well again. Once he recovers, he will start a new life with his new and loving family in his forever home.
