"Gorgeous and goofy." Is how the rescue staff describes lovable chocolate Delco.

Delco was found by Animal Control and after the Lab was struck by a car. Unlike many dogs, Delco had a microchip so his owners were able to be quickly notified. Sadly, upon being notified by Animal Control, his family surrendered the year old pup. Animal Control contacted the rescue group who took him in.

The rescue took Delco to the vet. After checking him over, the vet determined Delco had sustained injuries to his right ilial and acetabular (hip joint.) Both injuries required open reduction and internal fixation of the fractures with plates and screws. Due to the extent of the injuries, surgery could not wait.

That was when the rescue contacted Labrador Life Line for help.

Thanks to the generous and continued support of our donors, we are able to help Labs just like Delco. Your donations not only help Labs like Delco with their medical treatment, but just as important, you give them a second chance, which is exactly what Delco needed.

According to the rescue, because of his age and loving nature, the rescue feels he is very adoptable. In fact, they have a family interested in him
