Chocolate Lab Charlie was no different than most other year-old Lab puppies. He was curious and most-always hungry, both of which got the puppy into serious trouble.
When Labrador Life Line was contacted to help, Charlie's vet was waiting for the go-ahead to perform surgery for an obstruction and an exploratory laparotomy. Not long after contacting us for help, Charlie was in surgery.
Within only a few hours, the board quickly approved funding for the sick pup. The surgical team had removed a ball and were looking for more. That same evening, we received an update from his owner who said he was out of surgery. The vet had to remove four feet of intestine that had died. Charlie's mom also said that there was some sort of plastic trapped in there. Now it was a just a waiting game. If all goes well, he could go home the following night.
Once again, Charlie's case was urgent. Most of the cases that come to us for funding assistance aren't, but it's nice to know if it is, we are able to there to help. That's because of our donors’ continued and generous support. We say thank you and so does Charlie!!
