When Bella’s Mom first came to Labrador Life Line for funding assistance, Bella suffered from an infected wound on her foot that had gone untreated too long. Because of the lack of treatment, the tissue in her paw began to deteriorate. The prescribed treatment at that time was antibiotics followed by amputation of the infected digits
Since then, however, the vet has not been able to get the infection under control. Nothing they have tried has cured the infection. Finally, the vet diagnosed Bella with Acral Lick Dermatitis (ALD.) ALD, more commonly known has Lick Granuloma. Bella required an aerobic culture followed by six to eight weeks of antibiotics. This was when Mom asked for funding 2nd time.
Thanks to your continued support, we can give Labs like Bella a chance at happiness.
