Winston was with a rescue in western Colorado when Safe Harbor Lab Rescue was contacted to take him. Undergoing a routine battery of tests, Winston tested positive for heart worm.

Safe Harbor Lab Rescue contacted Labrador Life Line for treatment assistance.

Thanks to Labrador Life Line's donors, Winston was able to get the treatment he needed and got a second chance.

After successful treatment, Winston, with Safe Harbor's help, will continue to look for his much deserved forever home. The rescue feels that won't take very long. Winston is a "friendly, pleasant and affectionate lab. He is very mellow and very handsome," brags the rescue. "He will be very adoptable once his Heart Worm treatment is completed."
