Pluto was suffering from a 3 inch, infected gunshot wound. He was shot and then found by a neighbor and taken to the vet. Wound wasn't really treated, owner was found, and he was sent home. The neighbor paid the bill. Pluot's owner tried to care for the wound himself, because he had could not afford to go to the vet, but was unable to do so. Pluto's owner found us and with our assistance he was able to get Pluto to the vet and begin the somewhat long healing process as the wound was too old and large for it to be closed surgically.
