Munch had osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in rear left paw and amputation of his left leg was required to ensure good prognosis. Bone cancer is very painful, so the vet felt Munch should have great relief once his leg was gone. The vet felt that he was a good candidate and his prognosis was good. Munch means the world to his person.

Thank you from Labrador Life Line - your support is the reason we are able to assist with the costs associated with treatment for dogs like Munch!

We received an update on Munch ...

Here's a picture of our happy, pain-free Munch 3-legging it around the yard on one of his daily constitutionals. The tail is blurring because it's wagging so fast - *chuckle* - happy to be free of that bad foot/leg.

Once more, my many thanks to you and your foundation for helping my Munch out. Many hugs and many prayers for all of you.

Sadly, not long after after this update, we received another sad update telling us that Munch's cancer had spread to his face, jaw, and the lymph nodes in his neck.

"Please let the board know that despite Munch's impending death, their work is so valuable to animals like him. To have even a chance at life was worth the risk of going ahead with the amputation."

Not long after, Munch crossed Rainbow Bridge.

Godspeed Munch.
