Mogley and his brother Bagheera were playing in their fenced in yard when they broke the latch and escaped. Unfortunately, both brothers were struck by a car. Sadly, Bagheera was killed. Despite being dragged on his side by the car who struck him, Mogely survived, but sustained life threatening injuries.

His owners came to Labrador Life Line for assistance in hopes of saving both his legs (especially his foreleg), both badly injured in the accident, and to mend his dislocated hip. The vets had already tried twice to non-surgically repair the hip but it wouldn't stay. Surgery was the only option left.

Not long after Mogley's surgery, Labrador Life Line received this update.

We just brought Mogley home and he is doing very well. He still needs quite a bit of physical therapy but everyone is happy with his progress so far. I just want to send a heartfelt thanks to you and everyone there at Labrador Life Line, without you our baby wouldn't be with us today! I am filled with so much joy to have him home and feeling much better; thank you for giving that to my husband and me, and to Mogley!

Because of you, our generous and caring donors, Mogley got a second chance at life.
