Maximus had been diagnosed with a urethral stricture (narrowing). The stricture resulted in the inability for Maximus to urinate and empty his bladder properly.
Maximus also suffered from a pelvic fracture and other trauma, which were suspected to be caused by abuse, most likely being kicked in the abdomen. If the condition was not corrected, he could suffer from a ruptured bladder.
Caring 4 Creatures, the rescue Maximus was with, came to Labrador Life Line for assistance.
Thanks to Labrador Life Line's support from our donors, Maximus was able to get the urethral stent he needed. Post surgical examination revealed Maximus to be in great shape.
