Koko's condition was very serious when her owner came to Labrador Life Line for assistance. The vet had discovered a 5cm mammary tumor in the 10-year-old black lab and stated she needed surgery immediately to remove it. Her owner came to Labrador Life Line for assistance.

Thanks to you, Koko was able to get the surgery and biopsy she needed and required.

Updated from Koko's family.

"I have really, really amazing wonderful news -- Koko's tumor was BENIGN!!!!! The Dr. says
she should recover fully and be okay. We are just beside ourselves with happiness and relief. I know you understand what it means. And it makes sense because she was so her happy self, even a dayand a half after surgery, and I kept thinking how could she have cancer and be so happy and carefree.

LLL has enabled us to put this scary event behind us and we can now just help her finish recovering so she can happily live out the rest of her life. We honestly feel like she has a second chance.

Once again, please know how much LLL's assistance is appreciated, and how much your support helped us get through this frightening, scary situation. The speed in which you were able to respond was so crucial in our being able to get her tumor removed quickly. The tumor was so large, and it had grown so fast, I think even the Dr. was a little surprised at the outcome. As you know he wouldn't come out and say anything definitively, but he told us that the rapid growth of the tumor was suspicious."
