Fern was found on the streets by a Samaritan and taken to a vet for examination. The vet surmised from the malnourished Lab's horrible condition, including multiple lacerations, fleas, ticks, intestinal worms and an ear infection, that Fern was abused. She was missing many of her teeth, including all her front ones between her canines. The vet also administered a heartworm test which came back positive.
That's when the Good Samaritan came to Labrador Life Line for help. He needed help paying for some of Fern's medical treatment.
Because of Labrador Life Line's generous donors, Fern received treatment. And thanks to her new friend, she got a well-deserved second chance.
