Buttercup was pulled from a local shelter by Central California Lab Rescue. Upon vet examination is was determined she had an ectopic ureter. An ectopic ureter is estentially when the ureter does not connect to the bladder but instead bypasses the bladder and connects directly to the urethra causing urine leakage and bladder infections. Surgery was performed to correct the defect.
