Sadie was hit by a car and the impact forced Sadie’s hip bone out of its socket. It was re-set at the emergency vet’s but when Sadie’s owners brought her to their own vet for a follow up visit, they were told her hip bone has popped out again. Their vet recommended a Femoral Head Ostectomy as a cheaper alternative to pins and plates. Thanks to your support and generosity we were able to help them to get her the care she needed.

Sadie Update 02/09

It has been seven weeks now, since Sadie's hip surgery in December. I wanted to send you and the other board members some updated photos so you could see her progress. My husband and I are absolutely thrilled with how well she is doing. We are able to walk her 1/2 mile each day, without it bothering her. Yesterday, she chose to go up a flight of stairs on her own. Although we don't encourage it, we felt it was a good sign of how much better she is feeling. Our vet said she should be completely recovered by the beginning of summer. We're looking forward to taking her to the beach again.

Again we want to thank Labrador Life Line for offering monetary assistance for her surgery. We would have had to put her down had it not been for your organization's help. Please know that your help saved our dog's life and we are eternally grateful.
