Lisa is a ten month old chocolate girl who has found her forever home thanks to the folks at Labrador Friends of the South however when she first came to the rescue she had various medical issues due to her previous living situation. Because she had been kept in a dark cage too small for her and due to malnutrition (both from the breeder and the fact that she had megaesophagus) she did not develop properly on her back legs. She was successfully treated for the megaesophagus condition and one of her back legs was fixed back in January but her vet recommended that the second surgery be delayed until she was fully developed and the first leg was fully healed. When the time came for Lisa's second surgery the rescue came to us for some funding assistance and thanks to your ongoing donations and support we were able to help. Dogs like Lisa are the reason we exist, and we are very grateful for your support.
