2007 Daisy
(Daisy is on the left)

Daisy is a four year old chocolate girl who was having her exercise running in an off leash forest area with her human's foster dog. As we all know labs tend to love to run and play, and can be quite stoic when they hurt themselves. Daisy encountered a sharp stick or something while playing and although she yelped and showed a bit of a limp there was no immediate sign of what she had actually done. When her human got her back home she was checked all over because she was bleeding - at which time the puncture was discovered. Daisy was off to see her vet, who found a puncture starting at about the midpoint of her chest and angled towards her armpit - thus the limp.

Daisy's human was not in a financial position to pay for the surgery needed - and came to us for assistance with the costs. Dogs like Daisy can have their treatment and go on to have normal lives thanks to your support.
