2006 Yellow Submarine

Subby (for Yellow Submarine) is a five month old yellow boy who was hit by a car and needed to have a transverse fracture of the femur repaired. His original family could not afford the treatment needed so they turned him over to the vet clinic to be put to sleep, however luckily for him the people at the clinic could not do this. The clinic contacted GRCGLA Rescue, Inc, - a golden retriever rescue group in the arear - who kindly agreed to take this puppy and get him the treatment he so badly needed. Subby stayed with a foster family while he was recovering from his surgery, and that family felt the name he had been provided was sort of not correct for him... After he had been with them for a short while he bonded with the family and their dogs, and was renamed to Miles. This picture is Miles with his new canine family... The little puppy in the picture above has grown into Miles on the left.

2006 Miles

Labrador Life Line would like to thank everyone involved with Subby, now Miles... The vet clinic for getting him into rescue, the folks at the Golden Retriever Rescue group for getting him the treatment he needed and for finding him a great foster home, and his new family for deciding that he needed to be more then a foster for them. Most of all we would like to thank you for your support - Miles was truly the winner here, very much thanks to your continued generosity!
