Gus is a 14 month old black boy, in rescue with Safe Harbor Lab Rescue after, it is believed, he was dumped with a broken leg - the result of being hit by a car. When he was first found he was very emaciated, and was unable to bear weight on the leg that had been damaged. He underwent a multi-hour surgery and it was hoped he was on his way to recovery however later it was found that the repair had not taken and he had to have another surgery. Safe Harbor came to Labrador Life Line for assistance with the funding for this second surgery and thanks to your generosity we were able to help. After Gus recovers he's sure to find a forever home - his attitude during the surgeries and recovery periods has been absolutely typical for this breed - always a wag and/or a puppy kiss.
