2006 Buddy #2

Buddy is a four month old yellow puppy who fell on the stairs while playing with his young human and broke his leg. Buddy's humans have recently undergone a painful divorce, and he is one of those security pieces that the youngsters in the family have latched onto - as you can see in this photograph even with the face blurred out... In spite of the financial circumstances of the human family, Buddy's vet clinic felt that he could not wait on the surgery needed to repair his leg and went ahead and inserted the the pins required to hold the bones in place. Buddy's humans came to us for assistance to pay for this much needed surgery and we were happy to help on your behalf.

From his human, as he is recovering at home from his surgery:
"Buddy is doing well at home. The cast that extends up his entire leg and around his upper torso does not seem to slow him down! He likes to sleep on his back and it is the funniest thing to see his one leg sticking straight up while he is sound asleep."
and later:
"Buddy is doing wonderfully well - thus far. I took him back to see the doctor over the weekend as he is growing so fast his cast was becoming a bit tight in his chest. The doctor loosened it up for him; this also enabled him to move around a bit easier."

Buddy is on the road to recovery, and his human family hope to have him with them for many years to come. Thank you for the part you play in support us and allowing us to help Buddy and his family.
