2005-Shane

Shane is a 2 year old chocolate boy who came to rescue from a shelter in Manhattan. He needed surgery on both knees due to subluxated patellas. Because of his severe injury (for which the rescue had no background information) and his weak muscle tone it was recommended by two vets that one knee be operated on at a time, with physical therapy prior to the second knee surgery. The first knee surgery was done in November - it, his medication and his physical therapy were paid for by fund raisers. The rescue LRRCT requested financial help for the second surgery from both Labrador Life Line and Labmed.

Shane has a good temper and his medical prognosis is very good. As you can see from his picture, Shane looks like a normal lab - and his future should be assured once he recovers from his surgery. Thank you from Labrador Life Line for your support - dogs like Shane benefit from your generosity.
