Candy is a one year old yellow girl who was was taken in by the Wright-Way rescue group after being surrendered by her owner to animal control. Little did they know that she was going to give birth just 1 day later. Unfortunately only 2 of the 8 puppies survived due to the mom's condition. She not only was malnourished, but had sarcoptic mange and was heartworm positive.
Candy has undergone two treatments for her mange and will be receiving one more, as well as treatment for her heartworm. She will be spayed as soon as her health allows. Both of her puppies were adopted at 8 weeks, and there should be no problem finding Candy a home.
