Barney is a black fellow, about six or seven years old, who was rescued from a kill shelter by a member of an animal welfare organization called Virginia Partnership for Animal Welfare and Support. Barney had 3 tumors on his leg which were all removed successfully, although it took several surgeries and months of recovery to complete the healing process. Barney will be adopted out to a good home and prognosis for full recovery is high.
