Trooper is a 12 year old chocolate boy who is an assistance dog for his disabled human. His vet believes that some unusual findings on his last physical exam (elevated blood pressure, elevated pancreatic enzymes, and enlarged spleen and liver) were due to chronic overdosing of thyroid supplementation. Her recommendation was to dramatically decrease the supplementation and recheck the physical exam and blood work findings in 90 days. Labrador Life Line was approached to assist with funding the repeat blood work -- internal organ function screen, thyroid level and examination.
