2003-Tara

Tara is an approximately 6 year old yellow girl who was taken off of the street as a stray into an area shelter and from there taken into the CCLRR. She has already been adopted and is settling well into her forever home. She is overall in excellent health but had four growths distributed over her body when she was found. These growths were removed -- three were lipomas (benign fatty growths) and one was a hemangioma (again a benign growth). The hemangioma was confirmed as completely excised by histopathology and, as surgical excision is considered curative, this growth is no longer a concern. Fatty growths do frequently recur but do not significantly impact quality of life in the vast majority of cases.
