Sandy is a 16 month old yellow girl who was hit by a car in November. Her regular vet knew that Sandy's injuries were too extensive for them so her owners were referred to a different clinic. She had multiple fractures of both rear legs which were surgically repaired and stabilized and she was sent home. For some reason the stabilizations failed and she was returned to the clinic. After she was re-evaluated there, the owners decided they were unable to afford the additional expenses and relinquished her to the clinic rather than euthanize her. Sandy has had two more procedures in an attempt to correct her problems and to date her various vet visits have accumulated some significant charges. They have had community fund raisers for her and raised some of the funding, LABMED and Labrador Life Line have been approached to assist with some of the funding.
Thanks to you, Labrador Life Line was able to assist with the costs of the procedures Sandy needed, and there is a long list of applicants for forever homes for her. She will have a lengthy recovery period, during which she will remain at the clinic and then home with one of the staff for quite awhile to try to insure proper care during this time. Thank you - without you we could not have helped Sandy!
