2003 Khaki

Khaki is a 3 1/2 year old yellow girl who is a well-loved member of a large family. Their veterinarian has recommended a TPLO and the family sought a second opinion - in which the veterinarian concurred that a TPLO was indicated because of the changes that have already occurred in Khaki's knee.

Update from Khaki's family:
I wanted to update you about Khaki, our yellow lab. After 12 weeks of living in a crate, Khaki is getting stronger everyday and doing well. We still have not resumed retrieving activities which were a popular form of play with Khaki, because she is so aggressive we're a little leery of her hurting her knee again. We're also very conscious of her weight because it's not unusual that a dog will favour the good leg so much that they will injury that one. We play Frisbee golf and she comes with us. It's really good exercise -- she chases the Frisbee but we've trained her not to touch it."

Thank you from Labrador Life Line and Khaki's family for your ongoing support, allowing us to provide assistance to dogs like Khaki!
