2003 Hunter

Hunter is a 3 year old yellow boy who was adopted from a shelter in 2001. He has now torn his cruciate ligament. His human has had rather a rough time lately, and was even willing to give him up to rescue if it meant that he could have the surgery he needed for the cruciate repair.

Post surgical update from Hunter's family:
"Hunter had his surgery just over a week ago and I wanted to send a couple of pictures to you! These are of Hunter 5 days post surgery. The little dog is his sister, Daisie.

Hunter with Daisie Hunter in snow

Hunter LOVES the snow and was not that thrilled at not being able to run in the newly fallen white stuff!!!! But he made the best of it from his lead. He is doing very well with the physical therapy and recovery. Bearing more weight every day! Now we just have to get him to lose another 9 pounds and keep him in tip top shape in hopes that he will not blow the other leg!
Thanks again to your organization for helping Hunter. I am so grateful."

As always, we are grateful to you for your ongoing support. You are the reason we are able to help dogs like Hunter have the surgery needed so he can have a happy life with his family.
