kirby-2002

Kirby , a handsome black boy, was rescued after being hit by a car. He had been taken to a nearby clinic and when no owner came forward to claim him his foster mom took him in. Kirby was found to be adoptable and deserving of having his life saved. Kirby's injuries were mainly to his left rear leg. He suffered multiple tibial fractures and scrapes and bruises. Upon reviewing radiographs the veterinary surgeon recommended repairing the fractures with a plate rather than a cast. Kirby also received antibiotics and pain medication. His recovery time will be 6 - 8 weeks, after which time his foster mom can concentrate on finding just the right forever home for Kirby. The veterinary surgeon has also offered to help Kirby by discounting his expenses.

Thanks to the generosity of Labrador Life Line supporters, to co-funding with LABMED and to his surgeon, Kirby will have the opportunity to live out a long and healthy life. Thank you!
