digger

Digger is a yellow male who is approximately four years old. He was surrendered to a local shelter because his owner was ill and could not care for him anymore. He was picked up by the CCLR from there and examined by a vet, and diagnosed heartworm positive. Digger was able to receive his first treatment, but ended up having complications. He got loose for about 2 hours, and when found, he was spitting blood and vomiting. Digger required surgery to repair his ileum that had flipped over.

Digger's prognosis is excellent since having surgery. No further complications are expected and Digger should do well after having all his treatments. LabMed has also provided financial assistance for Digger's medical expenses.

Thanks to the generosity of Labrador Life Line's supporters, it was possible to give Digger the gift of good health. Once restored, he will be placed in a new forever home.
