Chili has both good and bad luck! This 11 month old chocolate Labby was rescued at 7 months from a family that was going to shoot him for chasing cattle. His rescuers were going thru some hard times but couldn't stand to see this boy shot, so they 'removed him from temptation'.. (his good luck to be rescued!)
The family was visiting friends, when Chili decided to join the get-together and jumped out of the pickup! The found him with a compound fracture of his leg. (His bad luck!)
Labrador Life Line and IMOM were contacted and able to help with this unexpected emergency so Chili got the surgery he needed (more good luck!).
** Update **
Chili's Mom wrote us to say that Chili is home from the
hospital and is resting comfortably in his 'recovery' room. She is thankful for the "angels" that provided
her special boy with the kennel and comfy pad that will aide in his recovery. She says that Chili seemed
very happy to be resting in his new kennel. Chili will return to his vet on the 19th for a re-check
the application of a new splint. We all wish Chili a speedy and uneventful recovery.
It is obvious that Chili's luck has changed for the better. He certainly has a very bright future. Thanks to you, Labrador Life Line was able to help another deserving Labby towards a happy and healthy life!
