Shadow is a black male,
approximately 2 years old, brought in to a clinic to
be euthanized after jumping from the back of a truck and fracturing his
femur. The clinic staff felt that he would make someone a wonderful pet
and got a release from his owners so they could treat him. He has had a
femur plating from which he is recovering.
Shadow also needed entropian surgery in both eyes, the clinic was
willing to cover some of the costs of this surgery, and Labrador Life
Line and LabMed co-funded the balance to insure that Shadow got the
treatment he required.
Good news! Shadow has now found a new forever home! He had been fostered
by one of the techs from the vet hospital while he recuperated from his
surgery. The tech's brother and his family fell in love with Shadow. He
now has his very own 5 year old child. He has been a perfect gentleman
and Shadow's new family cannot imagine why he was given up.
Labrador Life Line would like to thank you for your support and
donations - without which we would not be able to help dogs like Shadow.
