Pogo

Pogo's plight was told over a bridge game one evening. A black Labrador was running the neighborhood knocking over trash cans and the city shelter was about to be called. He was owned by an elderly person who wasn't caring for him.  He was too nice of a dog to not have someone to love and care for him.  One of the card players wanted to meet Pogo and fell in love with him and wanted to help him have a secure/responsible home.

Off to the vet they go only to find he was infested wtih heartworms. His new owner was a young senior citizen on a fixed income and couldn't pay for this much needed vet service. She found LLL, and we were able to fund Pogo's heartworm treatments and Pogo was saved from heartworm disease that would have eventually killed him. Thank you to all of you who support LLL, for without you, the Labradors that need us wouldn't get the help they need.
