Muddy is a six to eight year old black boy - who was discovered on a highway
median with his head bashed in and a damaged eye that needed to be
removed. Since this surgery Muddy has started improving and continues to do so.

An update on Mr Mudd (aka Muddy)... Becky of Rainbow Farms writes:
"MUDDY has gained 15 pounds since he got here, and I think he's at his optimum weight. He starts his "alternative" heartworm treatment today. And yesterday... he woke up.
He has spent every minute of his time since coming here sleeping on his back with his legs in the air. He goes out to potty and gets up to eat, but then has always gone right back to bed.
Yesterday afternoon, I went out on the deck to watch the dogs, and the next thing I knew someone had grabbed my shirt and was pulling the tail. I thought it was the new puppy (who's deaf), so I reached back without looking and just pulled it out of her mouth. Only it wasn't her, it was Muddy, who was taking turns chewing on me, then the puppy. Today, he actually RAN from the end of the yard all the way to the deck, wagging his tail the whole time! Gone is my old, decrepit, beat up, sick dog. Did my heart good to see him out playing and having a good time."
