Max

In early October, a handsome little 5 month old chocolate puppy, Max, was turned over to Georgia Lab Rescue by his owners. Poor Max had been shot in his rear leg and his owners were either unable or unwilling to care for his injury. The kind folks at Georgia Rescue took him in and immediately called an orthopaedic surgeon who recommended that Max have surgery to correct his leg. Because Max was a rescue, the doctor only charged half of the usual rate.

Max had the surgery for his leg on October 4th 1999 and has been recovering nicely since then. Max also was given booster shots after his surgery and was started on heartworm prevention. He will be neutered when it is time according to the guidelines of the Georgia Rescue that took him in.

Because of the kind hearts of the folks at Georgia Rescue, the orthopaedic surgeon, and Labrador Life Line, who all contributed with time and donations for his care, little Max will have a chance at a happy and healthy life as someone's best friend. See what a difference you can make! Thank you!
