King, a black labby boy, approximately one year old was rescued off the streets by a family with children. Attempts to find his owner were unsuccessful so OK Lab Rescue was contacted.
After being evaluated by OK Lab Rescue, it was very clear
someone had taken the time to train this young black dog. He retrieves and delivers to
hand, knew sit, stay and came to the heel position when asked. He is a very social young
dog. Attempts to find his owner were not successful and this was clearly a dog worthy of a
wonderful, caring home.
King exhibited some lameness in his left hind leg and progressed quickly to non weight
bearing after a playful romp retrieving with the children in his foster home on the snow
and ice. It was found he needed cruciate ligament repair in order to be pain free. Surgery
went well and now King is recuperating and rehabilitating and when he's all through w/ his
rehab, a wonderful home will hopefully have been found for this boy to call his own.
Labrador Life Line is proud to have been able to play a role in King's surgery and
recovery. Thank you all for your most generous support of LLL. Without you, we could not
have done this!
