Bailey

Bailey became ill with blastomycosis, a deadly yeast like infection which infected her lungs, skin and bone marrow. The condition is uncommon and left untreated is fatal. Antibioctics are used, sometimes for months, and are very expensive here in the United States.

Bailey's owner, Becky Creason, was able to pay for the first two weeks of drugs and began looking for help. She contacted LLL who sent an emergency check to her vet to fund the next two weeks of treatment and unanimously voted to fund the remainder of her treatment as well. For the first two weeks Bailey showed improvement, her skin began to clear and the weight loss stopped. Then suddenly she came out of remission and stopped eating. In the early morning of March 21st Becky took Bailey in to her vet's office and, after weighing the obvious, decided to let Bailey go on to the Rainbow bridge. Bailey was much loved by her family, and while all efforts made were unable to help her... we wanted to remember her, in a special way, here.
