Baby Oliver was given
up by his breeder for obvious, if not humane, reasons. This precious little chocolate baby
was very fortunate he found his way into Peppertree Rescue. His little leg from the elbow
down was severely deformed from either a congenital underdevelopement or a severe trauma
to his leg. His leg was not useful at all. He had no toes or a paw. Amputation of
his limb was the best long term solution for Oliver for functional and cosmetic reasons.
Labrador Life Line made it possible for Oliver to have this much
needed surgery and a chance at a wonderful life filled with the love he
much deserves. He is currently recuperating at his foster parents home and
they report he continues to do very well. A forever home he will go to
once he is released and there, he will be a delightful 3-legged pet.
Oliver doesn't know that he is handicapped. He acts just like any other
happy, bouncy and joyful lab puppy.
