Sam is a two to three year old yellow boy who's first owners did not give him heartworm preventative. He was rescued by Annie at a time when his heartworms had gotten so bad that his heart was enlarged! Despite this, Annie's vet described Sam as a "Big Goof" who was able to wrap the staff around his paw with his big slurps and wagging tail. Annie fell for him, too, and decided to keep him. She learned of us when other potential funding sources were unable to assist her, and Labrador Life Line was happy to fund the requested portion of Sam's treatment.

And here's a picture of Sam, taken in May 2000! We at Labrador Life Line always love to see happy endings!
