2008 Cricket

Cricket is a young black girl who escaped from her fenced yard when strong winds blew the gate open. Unfortunately she was hit by a car and required amputation of her seriously injured leg. Although Cricket is known and loved in her community her human was simply unable to fund the needed treatment and surgery and therefore came to us for some help. Thanks to your support and generosity Cricket got her treatment and we received the following update from her family:

She had the cast off a little over a month ago and is doing great!! The vet said her x-rays looked great and she was healing nicely. She still has a limp but we're hoping that as the muscles are built back up, that it will diminish but she still walks and runs with the best of them. She is just a little ginger with that leg but it doesn't keep her from doing what she wants to do, which is play, play, play!! She plays with my parents' puppy nonstop and I swear her tail is only still when she sleeps.
and
I can't thank you enough for your significant contributions towards her recovery. Thank you for keeping my Cricket in my life. It just wouldn't have been the same without her. Again, I can't thank you enough.
which sums up how we feel about all of our donors too!
