Barney Barney is a nine or ten year old yellow gentleman who was turned into rescue at the "The Buddy Project" by a staff member at a kill shelter where he had been dropped off. Barney was quite ill by the time the rescue got to him - he had a high fever and an acute respiratory infection. The rescue took him to the vet where he was admitted on an emergency basis so that they could save his life. The clinic found he had ticks, periodontal disease and several tumours - most probably lipomas along with his serious infection. Barney went from the clinic to the folks at Labs4Rescue, where he will stay in foster care as he recovers, his periodontal problem and lipomas to be addressed after he is physically up to the treatment. The Buddy Project came to Labrador Life Line for assistance with the bills incurred for Barney's treatment when he had been so ill, and on your behalf we were happy to assist. Thank you again for your support... Barney now has an opportunity to recover and go on to find a real "forever" home for the remainder of his years. |
