Ellie, an adorable 3 month old yellow girl was rescued from the street by her guardian angel. Ellie had been thrown out of a moving truck. Her rescuer witnessed this terrible act, and was quick to take care of Ellie. Ellie's injuries required surgical stabilization using a bone plate. Ellie had presented with the complaint of a right rear leg lameness. The examination revealed a midshaft, diaphyseal fracture of the right tibia. The fracture did not appear to involve the growth plates of the joints. Post surgery, Ellie is recovering well and without complications. Throughout diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, Ellie has remained a cheerful and trusting labbie girl. Through the combined efforts of Labrador Life Line and
LabMed, Ellie's guardian angel was rewarded for her kind act with funding to assist in the repair of
Ellie's injury. It's cases like these that showcase just how special our supporters are. Without your
continued generosity, Ellie's future may not be so bright. Thank you!
