Meet Marianne Voogt
I have been a member of the LabsR4U list since the beginning, transferring in when the list started.
I've been on the board of of Labrador Life Line for a while now, serving in the Publicity and
Fundraising committees, and more recently on the Web and Triage committees.
I am married to a wonderful and supportive fellow named Brian, who has put up with me for more years then I really can believe. Our son Dan was recently married to a fine young lady named Amy so his life in moving on in directions of his own choice. While it is perhaps hard to see one's child grow up and move on, it is very satisfying to know that he has become a fine person with a life of his own.
Our canine family membership has changed during my tenure with LLL... Faye & Dezzie went the the bridge in 2005, leaving Coda all alone as the only canine member of the family. Since the house seemed overly quiet without a chocolate dog to add the the mayhem we added Barrett to the mix in February of 2006. In my spare time I garden, cook, read science fiction, and watch F1 racing. I do a bit of crafty things - quilting, knitting, sewing, embroidery - generally the old fashioned needle work type of thing.
